Our Story.

Hello and welcome!

Our company headquarters is in Big Sandy, Texas (roughly 30 minutes north of Longview). I’m John Connolly and I own Evatra Wood Worx. 

Where did the name EVATRA come from? My mother's name was Eva and she passed in 2015. My youngest brother’s name was Travis, and he passed when he was only 20 years old. Always wanting to honor both of their names, EVATRAvis was created.

I started Evatra Wood Worx with the hope of one day having my family working with me and being part of a company that could be passed on to future generations. I built my first wood project in 1994 in high school and have dabbled with wood working ever since. I have finally set my sights on creating furniture people can enjoy for generations to come. I thoroughly enjoy working with my hands and being able to create beautiful works of art.

My wife and I currently own a coffee shop (Coffee & T’s) in Longview, Texas, and gladly serve our community with their coffee needs! I have built coaster sets, Halloween lanterns, planter boxes, and wall décor that I have been able to sell at our coffee shop.
